BITEF 07 - New Theatrical Tendencies_ Special Prize at “Ex-position” by Bacaci Sjenki

The intermedia performance “Ex-position” has won the Special Jury Award at the 41st edition of BITEF - Belgrade International Theatre Festival. The project has also won the Second Audience Prize with the narrow margin of 0.01% less then the first awarded performance. The official jury of the 41st Bitef: Kristian Seltun, the president (Norway), Tomi Janežič (Slovenia), Miloš Lolić (Serbia), Milica Tomić (Serbia) and László Upor (Hungary) came to the following decision: - The Grand Prix “Mira Trailović” has been awarded by majority to the performance “#04 Brussels”, the forth part of the Tragedia Endogonidia, directed by Romeo Castellucci, production of the Societas Rafaello Sanzio from Cesena, Italy |- Two Special Prizes ex aequo of 41st Bitef have been awarded: - “Pupilija Papa Pupilo pa Pupilceks” – reconstruction directed by Janez Janša, production of Maska from Ljubljana, Slovenia, for re-actualizing a constant wish to question the nature and boundaries of the theatre |- “Ex-position”, of the authorial team Boris Bakal, Katarina Pejović, Željko Serdarević, production of the Bacači sjenke theatre, from Zagreb, Croatia, for the redefinition and reinforcement of the personal involvement of the audience in communal theatre processes. **[BITEF Festival_ Founded in 1967, BITEF has continually followed and supported the latest theater trends. It was produced by Bacaci Sjenki (Shadow Casters) in 2005 as part of Urban Festival Zagreb in co-production with BLOK and with financial support of the Ministry of Culture of Croatia, Art Council of Zagreb, Orchestra Stolpnik and the Zagreb Bank (Zagrebacka banka). After the initial success at Urban Festival, Ex-position was subsequently presented at the 20th edition of Eurokaz International Festival (Zagreb), BOK International Festival (Bjelovar), Indomitable City Festival (Krizevci - all in Croatia), International festival FIAT in Podgorica (Montenegro) and BITEF - Belgrade International Theatre Festival (Serbia).
